Info
Diamond Caverns is open for tours year-round. Guided one-hour-long tours are offered daily at set tour times in the Fall and Winter. Call for availability. April through Labor Day tours run approximately every 30 – 45 minutes throughout the day. All tours are first come, first serve.
The cave remains a comfortable 58 degrees year-round, which feels cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Plan to wear comfortable, supportive walking shoes for the ½ mile cave tour.
Snapshot photography is permitted during the tour, providing you do not lag behind. Tripods, monopods, backpacks, camera bags, baby strollers and video cameras are not allowed, for the safety of our visitors and for the conservation of our cave environment.
Back mounted baby carriers are not permitted due to low ceilings in several places in the cave. Front mounted child carriers are acceptable.
Unfortunately nature did not make Diamond Caverns handicap accessible as there are about 350 stair steps (round-trip) scattered throughout the tour. The tour is considered strenuous.
All our tours are guided. Our guide staff is very knowledgeable and will provide an educational and informative tour. Feel free to ask your guide questions.
Our pathways are concrete with handrails provided where necessary for safety. The cave is beautifully presented with state-of-the-art lighting. We present the cave with white lighting only, so that you may appreciate the cave as nature made it.
